Booking & getting here
Do I need to make an appointment?＋
No appointment is necessary. You can call us on 01962 884664, email beepbeep@kingsworthygarage.com, or simply drop in to the main workshop on London Road, Kings Worthy. Booking ahead helps us fit you in at a convenient time, but it isn't essential.
Where are your two sites?＋
Our main workshop is on London Road, Kings Worthy, Winchester SO23 7QN — that's where servicing, diagnostics, repairs, tyres, air-con, welding, body and paint, and classic car work happen. Our dedicated MOT testing centre, KWG, is at Old Manor Nursery, Kilham Lane, Winchester SO22 5QD. Both are easily reached from Winchester and Junction 9 of the M3.
What are your opening hours?＋
We're open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and closed at weekends.
While your car is with us
Can I have a courtesy car?＋
Yes — we offer free courtesy cars so you can carry on with your day while we look after yours. Just let us know when you book that you'll need one.
Can you collect and drop off my car?＋
Yes. We provide free, fully insured collection and drop-off anywhere within Winchester, at no charge. It's ideal if you can't easily get to us or don't want to wait around.
What if I wait at the garage?＋
You're very welcome to wait in our reception, where there's free Nespresso coffee and tea and high-speed WiFi. For quicker jobs it's often the easiest option.
MOT, servicing & pricing
Where do you carry out MOTs?＋
MOT testing is handled at our dedicated KWG centre on Kilham Lane, which is set up for quick turnaround. If your car needs any work to pass, we carry it out in-house at our main workshop rather than sending you elsewhere.
How do you price the work?＋
We believe in upfront, transparent pricing. You get a clear price before any work begins, explained in plain English — no hidden extras and no surprises. Our reviewers consistently mention how fair and reasonable our pricing is.
Can you service hybrid vehicles?＋
Absolutely. Every one of our technicians is hybrid trained, so your hybrid gets specialist care as standard — servicing, diagnostics and repairs carried out safely and correctly.
A warning light has come on — can you help?＋
Yes. Bring the car in and we'll use our advanced diagnostic terminals to read the fault codes and pinpoint the problem, then tell you exactly what's wrong and what it will cost before we do anything.
Classic & older cars
Do you work on classic and vintage cars?＋
We love them. Alongside everyday servicing and repairs, we offer a specialist Heritage Health Check designed especially for classic and vintage vehicles, and we have full engine strip-down and rebuild capability. Take a look at our Classics gallery to see recent cars through our workshop.
Can you do welding and bodywork?＋
Yes — we carry out structural and bodywork welding (including MOT-critical repairs), plus bodywork repairs and paint refinishing for dents, scrapes and pothole damage.
